This Privacy Policy explains how Solar Beat Australia (“Solar Beat”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It applies to information collected through solarbeat.com.au, by phone, email, chat and messaging, and when we quote for, install or service solar, battery and electrical systems.
What personal information we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, postcode, state and property address.
- Property and energy information you give us to design and quote a system, such as electricity bills, usage or interval meter data, your National Meter Identifier (NMI), roof and switchboard photos, and the details of any existing solar or battery system.
- Information needed for rebates, incentives and network approvals, such as proof of property ownership and details required by the Clean Energy Regulator, Solar Victoria, your electricity distributor or your retailer. Some programs require you to provide information directly to the relevant government body.
- Finance information, if you ask about payment or finance options. Applications are made with the finance provider, under their own privacy policy.
- Records of our communications, including emails, form submissions, chat and messaging conversations, and call details such as the number, time and duration of a call.
- Website usage information, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and how you arrived at our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) and ask that you don’t send it to us. You can contact us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general enquiries, but we will need your details to quote for or install a system.

Cookies, analytics, call tracking and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to understand how it is used, and to measure our advertising. These include:
- Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, which help us measure website traffic, form submissions, calls and chats, and show and measure our ads, including showing ads to people who have visited our website.
- Call tracking (Clixtell), which may display a different phone number on our website so we can tell which ads or pages lead to calls. It may record call details such as the calling number, time and duration.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the website may not work as intended. You can manage personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
